Police Appeal Following Arson in Warrington

Police are appealing for information following a fire at a bakery in Warrington.

The incident took place on Saturday (21st January) at TOMLINS Bakery in Synge Street.

Police and fire were called to the scene at around 1.50am. The fire service extinguished the blaze - no-one was injured as a result of the incident.

It is believed that the fire was started deliberately and officers are currently following up a number of lines of enquiry.

DC Nat Lewis said:

We are appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to the fire to get in touch with us immediately − even the smallest amount of information can be useful when piecing together a case.

We are currently following up a number of lines of enquiry and are urging anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and might have seen anyone acting suspiciously to contact us.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information, which might assist officers with their enquiries, is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 108 of 21 January.
