Almost 90 cannabis plants were uncovered at a house in Runcorn
last week.
Officers from Runcorn Neighbourhood Policing Unit made the
discovery on Friday morning (August 27) after they executed a
warrant at a property in Halton Brow.
Once inside the property, officers discovered 86 cannabis
plants. The plants were seized and taken away for forensic
examination.
No one was inside the property at the time.
Sergeant Andy Delooze, of Runcorn NPU, said: “This is a
significant find and fortunately we have been able to put a stop to
this. This latest discovery is part of ongoing efforts by Runcorn
NPU to tackle the issue of suspected drug use and supply in the
local community.
“Illegal drugs are an issue of concern for the local community
and we want to reassure residents that we will do all we can to put
a stop to this sort of activity. Information from members of the
public is vital in the fight against drug related crime and we
would urge anyone with any information to get in touch.”
