The men, most of whom are from the Ellesmere Port area, operated a complex and seemingly lucrative network of drug dealing across the Cheshire area. Today, the sentencing of Lee Walters and Martin Jacob brought about the successful conclusion of an in-depth and tireless investigation by Cheshire Police.

Leading the operation, Detective Inspector Sarah Pengelly of Cheshire Constabularys' Crime Operations Unit said "These men were attracted by the perceived wealth of dealing in illegal drugs - when now the reality and the consequence of their actions is in fact a prison sentence. Throughout the course of this investigation we have worked closely with the neighbourhood policing team of Ellesmere Port in gathering vital pieces of community intelligence in relation to the movements and activities of these individuals. This information, utilised with other policing techniques and support from specialist units, have helped bring to justice and remove from our streets a gang of men who are collectively responsible for bringing misery upon whole communities affected by their illegal drug dealing."

The gang, led by brothers Shaun and Anthony Gregerson, previously of Rossmore Road, Ellesmere Port, operated across Cheshire focusing upon Ellesmere Port, Crewe and North Wales. The men heavily involved in the distribution and movement of over three and a half kilos of Class A drugs, particularly cocaine. Over £24,000 cash was seized during the operation led by Cheshire Police's Crime Operations Unit and supported by Ellesmere Port Neighbourhood Policing Team.

A variety of policing techniques and resources were used in bringing the men to justice, from Air Support to covert policing techniques and specialist evidence and intelligence gathering.
