On Monday 22nd August four men were arrested in Warrington on
suspicion of drugs offences.
The men were arrested at an address on Harrier Road, Padgate, at
around 11.30am.
They were all arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the
supply of Class A drugs (Heroin and Crack Cocaine).
The four men helped police with their enquiries throughout the
day and were subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.
Drugs, a large amount of cash and a vehicle were seized during
the arrests.
The men were arrested by officers from the Northern Area
Dedicated Drugs Unit as part of Operation Ayers.
Over the past 3 months officers have executed 6 warrants,
arrested 17 people and seized what is believed to be a large amount
of Class A drugs, cash and a vehicle as part of the operation.
PC Stephen Page, from the Northern Dedicated Drugs Unit, said:
“These latest arrests are part of Operation Ayers, which is
focusing on the suspected use and supply of Heroin and Crack
Cocaine in Warrington. Criminal activity will not be tolerated in
the town and operations such as this show our ongoing commitment to
tackling the issue.
“Our message is clear - we will not tolerate drug related
activity in Warrington and will take positive action wherever and
whenever necessary.
“The Northern Area Dedicated Drugs Unit is a dedicated team of
officers who work closely alongside partner agencies and the local
community to tackle drug related issues.
“We need the continued support of the public in tackling the
