Fans of Warrington Wolves lined the streets on Sunday
29th August to celebrate the team's Carnegie Challenge Cup
victory. Cheshire Police was on hand to make sure the
homecoming parade was a safe and fun event for all.
Superintendent Sarah Boycott, of the Northern Area, said:
“Officers from across Warrington worked closely with Warrington
Borough Council, Warrington Wolves and other partners in planning
the event and in ensuring it ran safely and smoothly. It was a
successful occasion with large good natured crowds taking the
opportunity to welcome the player’s home throughout the route.
There were no arrests directly linked to the event.”
