Western Rural weekly update

Back to Latest News

09 Jan 2012

  • The outbreak of anti-social behaviour in the Farndon area recently reported in this newsletter has concluded with 3 youngsters being identified and dealt with, for causing damage to property. This has resulted in numerous crimes being detected and the victims updated to their satisfaction, a pleasing result.
  • The Christmas initiatives I reported in my last newsletter have concluded with what I consider to be a successful outcome. A positive message and enforcement of Road Traffic Legislation across all of the Rural Area ensured that the roads were a safer for all users. Similarly the high visibility patrols in Frodsham, Tarporley and Delamere ensured that visitors shopping or on a night out could do so in a safe and friendly environment.
  • I continue to have extra patrols on duty in relation to Burglaries of outbuildings and sheds in the Frodsham and Sutton Weaver areas. The staff have been working in close consultation with colleagues from the adjoining Runcorn Policing area and at time of writing there has been a decrease in the report of such incidents.
  • After a lengthy and detailed investigation, 2 men from the Liverpool area have been charged with Robbery of high value cycles which were stolen from individuals whilst they were at Delamere Forrest.
  • Finally the sporadic spate of Household Burglaries across the area by travelling criminals remains a high priority with officers continuing with their investigative enquiries and prevention activities. Please continue to report any suspicious activity.

Inspector Keith Curbishley
