Cheshire Community Development Trust are recruiting Snow Angels now.

Snow Angel volunteers provide assistance to the elderly and vulnerable people when the weather is extremely cold.

Its main purpose is ensuring that elderly and vulnerable residents in the Northwich area are able to live comfortably when the weather takes a turn for the worst.

The type of help you will be giving as a volunteer would include:

  • Going shopping
  • Path clearing
  • Help with sorting out the heating, particularly coal fires (bringing in coal)
  • Delivery of meals.

For people who wish to become a Snow Angel, a training day will be held on the 6th January at Cheshire Fire HQ. The training will include: the protocols for handling cash, safe driving in extreme conditions and access to equipment along with other protocols which will help you do the job quickly and efficiently.

If you would like to become a Snow Angel volunteer then please call Cheshire Community Development Trust on 01606 723180 or email .
