At 2.25pm today police received reports of a
collision between a cyclist and a
lorry at the junction of Bridgewater
Avenue and Kingsway South in
Warrington.
A 76-year-old man has been air lifted to Wythenshawe Hospital
with serious injuries.
Emergency services are currently at the scene and road closures
are in place. The road is likely to remain closed for the next few
hours. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is urged
to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident
number 572 of 27 July.
