Horse Watch has been set up to prevent, reduce and detect equine related crime by connecting all owners and riders, so information can be communicated quickly.
Members of Horse Watch will work together to provide a network of information and support to combat equine crime.
Members will be the eyes and the ears in our communities providing a vital link between officers, PCSOs and the local communities.
As a Horsewatch member you will receive:
- Regular alerts
- Crime Prevention advice
- Information on outstanding equine related crimes.
Please be advised that we may not be able to report on all crimes that come in, but we will do our best to keep you as up to date as possible.
The scheme has been developed, so that Cheshire Constabulary and its communities can work together to build a stronger equestrian community.
What are Mounted Volunteers?
Mounted volunteers will support officers, who have responsibility for rural, wildlife and heritage crime, in the reduction and prevention of rural crime.
The new mounted volunteers initiative encourages volunteers to report any suspicious behaviour or incidents they witness whilst riding their horses.
Mounted volunteers will also be members of Horse Watch. They will be the eyes and the ears in our communities providing a vital link between officers, PCSOs and the local communities.
