Attending the Cheshire Constabulary Work Experience Programme 2017

Are you in Years 11, 12 and 13 at school or college and looking to arrange your work experience placement?

Each year Cheshire Constabulary offers a number of young people the opportunity to experience the various aspects of work within the police.

The week-long programme occurs each year in the first week in July, which allows young people to gain an insight into some of the varied work we do. Based at our Headquarters in Winsford you will be given the opportunity to participate with a group of young people in a number of activities to ensure a varied and enjoyable week. The programme is co-ordinated and run by the Engagement Department, and gives you an overview of policing, and includes visits to various departments.

Visits may include:

  • Force Control Room
  • Forensics
  • The Dog unit
  • Tactical Training Centre
  • The Museum of Policing in Cheshire

In 2017 the Cheshire Constabulary Work Experience will be taking place between Monday 3 and Friday 7 July 2017.

Applications for the 2017 work experience programme have now closed. Applications for the 2018 programme are expected to open in September 2017.
