There has been a steady increase in the number of Burglaries reported over the last few weeks. These have centered around the Fulshaw Park area and Alderley Edge. Both local and Force resources are being used in a bid to deter and detect these offences.

Local residents are urged to report anything suspicious and report this via 101 or 999 if they believe a crime is in progress

We are liaising with security and management in the town centre in order to create a safer environment for customers and staff. Increased patrols have been undertaken in the area.

Following some good detective work from local officers, a local man has been charged with six offences of Theft from town centre stores and is due to appear in court.
