Policing Priorities

From 1st January 2018 to 31st January 2018 the policing priorities for this area will be

We have received complaints regarding motorists speeding and parking inconsiderately along Waterworks Lane during the school runs.

We will utilise our Tru Cam speeding camera on Waterworks Lane and Midlleton Lane to catch those motorists who drive in excess of the speed limit.

We will patrol Waterworks Lane during the school drop off/pick up times advising parents who park inconsiderately along Waterworks Lane and Middleton Lane as well as working with the local school to promote road safety.

During December there has been a number of Burglary incidents reported.

Local officers along with our crime units will be targeting these area's to identify those individuals responsible for these crimes.

Please make sure your property is secure and items as well as car keys are not left accessible.

During the winter months any suspicious behaviour during daytime and evening should be reported to the Police on 101 and provide as much detail as you can. You can remain anonymous.

 

We will continue to develop intelligence with the support of local intelligence officers with a view to taking positive action against the users and suppliers of class A and B drugs.

Beat Managers and PCSO’s will be a visible presence in areas where drug activity is reported , offering support and reassurance to the local community.

We would ask local residents and visitors to the area to continue to report any drugs issues directly to Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111

You have said Youths have been causing Anti-Social Behaviour on Arizona Crescent.

We did:
  • We have seen a reduction in incidents in the area and have much partner activity in place. Recently, sports activities have been implemented at the location to provide some diversionary activities and engage positively with the youths.
  • ASB - We continue to work closely with our partners to provide activities and listen to residents and local youths. We will continue our efforts in providing hi-visibility to the locations; supporting staff and public and dealing appropriately with those responsible. We also actively engage closely with the schools in the area.
  • We have had local patrols within the area as well as within Dakota Park were you said they congregate. Arizona Crescent has been Warrington West priority and street of the week. Local officers have conducted ASB survey within Arizona Crescent which beat team will review to conduct patrol plans within the area of Arizona Crescent.

You are reporting Drug dealing and use in the area of Warrington West

We did:

Over the last month Warrington West officers have continued to develop intelligence related to drug dealing. 

We will continue to develop the Intelligence and target those individuals committing these offences. 

On the 28th December officers from Warrington West Interviewed 2 males after they were arrested for drug offences. The 2 males were stopped in a vehicle early hours of the 28th December driving within the Sankey area.

The 2 males were charged with class A and class B drug offences.

One of the males was kept in custody to be dealt with for immigration offences.

You have reported an increase in shoplifting offences at the retail stores on Europa Boulvard.

We did:

We are obtaining Intelligence of those committing these offences.

We are conducting plain clothes operations as well as High Visibility patrols within the area.

Warrington West officers will be engaged with operation Blue Christmas which will target retail crime.

There has been a reduction in offences reported at one store due to work going on by Warrington West officers  

Officers detained a female whilst on plain clothes patrol within Boots Gemini Retail park. The female was detained with a quantity of perfume. The female fully admitted the offence of theft and was cautioned for the offence of theft.
