Appeal after burglars target jewellers Date published: 31st August 2017 10.37am

Officers from Cheshire Police are appealing for information from the public after a burglary at jewellers in Crewe.

Sometime between 8.30pm and 10.30pm on Tuesday 29 August unknown offenders forced entry into a jewellery store at Crewe Indoor Market, Earle Street, Crewe, after breaking a hole in the roof.

Once inside the premises the offenders conducted an untidy search of the premises and stole a large quantity of jewellery and watches. The offenders have then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Detective Constable Liz Rankin from Crewe CID said: “Investigations into this incident are currently ongoing and we are following a number of lines of enquiry including CCTV analysis and forensics.

“As part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone was in the local area around the area the time this incident occurred and believes that they may have witnessed anything suspicious.”
