Appeal after Co-op burglary in Widnes Date published: 19th October 2017 9.52am

Police are appealing for any information regarding a burglary in Widnes.

The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday 11 October at the Co-op in Hale Road.

At 3:30am three men arrived at the Co-op in a silver Audi A4 Estate. They used cutting equipment to get through the external shutters and smashed the glass door to gain entry to the building.

The men entered the store and cut open the back of the cash machine and removed cash before fleeing the scene.

The car travelled on the M57 and was last seen in Tabrock/Huyton. The trio wore black clothing.
