Appeal following burglary at Crewe convenience store Date published: 8th September 2017 11.45am

Officers are appealing for information from the public following a burglary at a convenience store in Crewe.

The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 10pm on Thursday 7 September and 5.50am on Friday 8 September when unknown offenders broke into the McColl's Convenience Store on Gainsborough Road, Crewe.

The suspects are believed to have accessed the premises by cutting a hole in the roof. Once inside the store they attacked the ATM machine and stole a quantity of cash.

Detective Sergeant Daniel Loveridge from Crewe CID said: “This is a serious incident and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the people responsible.

“The Investigation is in its very early stages and we are currently following a number of lines of enquiry, including speaking to local residents and forensics.

“As part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the Gainsborough Road area last night and believes that they may have witnessed anything suspicious.”
