Appeal for information following serious collision in Warrington Date published: 24th May 2017 10.11am

Police are appealing for information following a serious collision in Warrington.

The incident took place shortly after 11am on Monday 23 May on Bridgefoot Warrington.

The collision involved a red Vauxhall Vectra and a cyclist. As a result of the incident the road was temporarily closed.

The cyclist, a 58-year-old man from Warrington was taken to Aintree Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries. He is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

Officers are currently investigating the collision and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened or has seen anything significant to come forward.
