Appeal for witnesses following a knife point robbery in Widnes Date published: 4th January 2017 3.26pm

Witnesses are being urged to come forward after a man was robbed at knife point in Widnes.

The incident is believed to have taken place on Thursday, December 16, at approximately 20:30, while the victim was delivering takeaways on the walkway in the Arden area.

Four men, wearing dark clothing and hooded tops, stopped the delivery driver and demanded money from him with one of the offenders threatening the victim with a knife and stealing his wallet.

Officers have descriptions of three of the four men. One is described as being white, around 5ft 7 in height and of a stocky build. The second is described as white and 6ft in height while the third man is described as white and 5ft 7.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 979 of 16 December.
