Officers are appealing for witnesses following a robbery outside a hospital in Warrington.

On Saturday 7 January at 8pm a 45-year-old man was approached by a man and woman at the bust stop outside Warrington Hospital on Lovely Lane.

Both offenders demanded money from the victim before he was punched in the face by the man and the cash was taken from him.

The man was able to provide a description of the man, who is believed to be white, around 5"10 in height, of a stocky build with short black hair and was wearing a hooded grey coat.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in, or travelling through Lovely Lane and witnessed the incident, to contact Cheshire Police on 101 by quoting incident number 335 of 7 January.
