Appeal for witnesses to an assault and theft of a car in Cranage Date published: 20th January 2017 3.18pm

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and his car was stolen in Cranage, Crewe.

At 6pm on Thursday 19 January two men approached the victim, aged 24-years-old, just before Byley Lane, near to Cranage Hall and demanded he hand over the keys to his car, a 04 black Audi S4 Estate.

One of the offenders then punched the man to the head causing him to lose consciousness. The men then took the keys, got in his car and drove off.

One of the men is described as being white with a tanned complexion, of a thin build and around 5"8 in height. He was wearing a black hooded top, dark trousers and dark trainers.

 The other man is described as being white with a tanned complexion, of a large build and around 5"9 in height. He was wearing a black zip up jacket and dark trousers.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 805 of 19 January.
