CCTV image released after Warrington robbery Date published: 4th October 2017 2.04pm

Cheshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an armed robbery at a shop in Warrington.

The incident took place at 8:20am on Friday 22 September at Noones News, on Longford Street. A man entered the shop, armed with a knife and demanded money from the till. He then produced a car wheel brace and began taking money from the till before assaulting the shop keeper.

This led to an altercation between the two before the suspect ran off along Hale Street and onto West Street.

The man is described as white, in his 30s, approximately 5’ 7” tall with a local accent. The victim was left with a minor cut to the hand.

Detective Constable Natalia Tuozzo said: “This was a very unpleasant incident for the shop keeper who has been left extremely shaken by the ordeal. We are carrying out a number of enquiries and would appeal to anyone who has any information about the incident or who recognises the person in the CCTV image to get in touch on 101, quoting incident number 154 of the 22nd September.
