Crewe police investigate indecent touching incidents Date published: 21st June 2017 4.02pm

Police are investigating three indecent touching incidents which occurred in Crewe on Monday 19 June 2017.

At 2.03pm officers received a report that a 22-year-old woman had been assaulted in Selworthy Drive.

As police were making a search of the area, a second similar report came in at 3.12pm from a 24-year-old woman who had been walking near Frank Bott Avenue.

The following day police received a report of a third incident in Selworthy Drive, which had occurred at around 1.30pm on 19 June.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy as part of their enquiries, and he has since been released under investigation.

Insp Glyn Leech said: “We are providing increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance. While there don’t appear to have been any further reports, I would advise vigilance and would ask anyone who sees suspicious behaviour to contact us.

“If anyone else has been touched inappropriately, but you haven’t yet spoken to us, I’d urge you to come forward.”
