Family pay tribute to man who died in fail to stop collision on A530 Date published: 2nd July 2017 2.44pm

The family of a man who sadly died in a fail to stop collision on the A530 from Whitchurch to Nantwich in Crewe have paid tribute to him.

Between 1am and 3.15am today (Sunday 2 July) a pedestrian was walking from Nantwich in the direction of Hill Farm and the turning for Wrenbury when it is believed he was hit by a passing vehicle. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

The pedestrian, Neil Shoane, 44-years-old, from Aston was taken to Leighton Hospital by Ambulance and sadly died.

His family said: “As a family we have lost a wonderful loving dad, husband and friend. Neil thought the world of his young children and family meant everything to him. He was a sports lover and a hard worker, committed to his career and customers.

“We are devastated to be told he's gone and we need to know why. Someone may know something and we urge them to do the right thing. We appeal to anyone who has any information to contact the Police."
