Further appeal for information following robbery in Runcorn Date published: 2nd February 2017 10.18am

Cheshire Police are issuing a further appeal for witnesses following a robbery in the Runcorn area on Monday, 23 January.

At approximately 7.30pm that day the two victims were crossing the footbridge that goes over the Central Expressway between Hallwood Park and Beechwood.

They were travelling over from the Hallwood Park side. One of the victims was on his black Honda CRF off road motorcycle at the time (see attached photo of the actual bike).

At this point they were approached by two unknown offenders. Both victims were attacked, possibly with sticks and poles. The attack has left both victims with serious injuries.

The offenders are described as two males, the first was quite tall, skinny build and wearing a green jacket with black tracksuit bottoms.

The second was quite short, skinny build wearing a black jacket with black bottoms.

The offenders left the scene with the motorbike and went into the Beechwood estate.

It is thought that this same bike was then seen crossing the Runcorn Bridge at around 11pm that same night.

Offciers are appealing for anyone with any knowledge of this offence to contact them. Police are especially interested to hear from anyone who may have sighted this bike on the night in question or any subsequent sightings.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 760 of 23/01/2017.
