Officers appeal for witnesses following a robbery at a shopping centre car park in Birchwood Date published: 21st November 2017 5.17pm

Officers investigating a robbery at Birchwood Shopping Centre car park are appealing for information.

At 1.45pm on Tuesday, 14 November a woman, aged 51, was walking to her car when two men approached her and demanded she hand over her handbag. As she placed the handbag in the boot of her car, one of the men took it.

There was a struggle between the victim and the offender before the woman fell and they ran off with cash.

One of the men is described as being white, of a skinny build and the other man also had a slim build. They are believed to be Eastern European.

Anyone who has any information, or witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 262 of 20 November.
