Officers from Widnes have discovered a large scale cannabis farm on an industrial estate.
The factory was found on Lunts Heath Road on Monday 30 January after officers visited the address.
Inspector Chris Adkins, of Widnes Local Policing Unit, said: “Following a search of the property officers recovered approximately 250 Cannabis plants of varying stages of growth.
“Being able to seize drugs on such a large scale has ensured a great result in preventing them from being sold on to the streets of Widnes or further across the county.
“Drug use and supply can have a huge impact on the local community and we will continue to do all we can to put a stop to it.
“Information from the public is vital in helping us combat drug related crime and I would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour or who has any information to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 273 of 30 January.”
Information can also be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
