Police investigating a burglary in Nantwich are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At around 9pm on Wednesday, 16 August offenders broke into an address on Bankside Close in Barbridge by the back entrance. Thieves then removed two bikes from the property before being disturbed and making their escape empty-handed.

One of the offenders is described as being a male aged 15 or 16 and wearing tracksuit bottoms. The other offender is described as a man aged 28 to 30 years old.

PC Simon Knowles, of Crewe Local Policing Unit, said: “Although we have a brief description of the offenders, I want to urge anyone who may have more information to come forward and speak to officers so we can catch the people responsible.

“I also want to encourage residents to be extra vigilant and keep an eye out for anyone acting suspiously.”

Anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour or has any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 978 of 16 August.
