Police appeal for information following aggravated burglary in Middlewich Date published: 2nd October 2017 2.31pm

Officers investigating an aggravated burglary in Middlewich are appealing for information.

At 11.00pm on Saturday 30 September three men entered an address on Ashfield Street. After searching a handbag in the hallway they went into the lounge and threatened a woman with a hammer, demanding the keys to her car.

She handed over the keys and the offenders stole a grey Ford Focus ST, which has a 2016 registration plate, from the driveway.

They were seen heading in the direction of Sandbach before the vehicle was found abandoned in School Lane, Warmingham.

The first man is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s with a tanned complexion. He was wearing a dark waterproof coat with the hood up to cover his face.

DC John Horsham said: “Thankfully the woman was not injured, but she was left shocked by her ordeal. I would appeal to anyone with information to contact me so that I can progress with my enquiries.”

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1036 of 30/9/2017.
