Police appeal for witness to come forward folowing sexual assault in Sandbach Date published: 23rd November 2017 3.23pm

Following an investigation into a serious sexual assault in Sandbach police are appealing to the public for help with their investigation.

On Friday 20 October 2017 a 28-year-old woman was out on a night out with friends. The victim left the Market Tavern at 2.30am with the suspect to walk home. At around 3am they entered an alleyway by the Ganges restaurant in Bradwall Road where the incident took place.

DC Nicola Dolan said: “A 20-year-old man has been arrested as part of our enquiries and the victim is being supported by specialist officers.

“I’m particularly interested in speaking with a potential witness who walked past the alleyway, he may have seen the victim in a semi naked state.

“I would urge you to contact me so I can progress with my enquiries, you could have vital information that could help me with my enquires.”
