Police in Crewe appeal for witnesses following house fire Date published: 18th April 2017 8.10am

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fire at a house in Crewe.

At approximately 11.30pm on Tuesday 4 April officers were called to reports of a fire at an address in Nelson Street in Crewe.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze and subsequent investigations show a small number of cannabis plants were found in the address.  The cause of the fire has not been confirmed.

DC Richard Garret said: “A white van was seen parked opposite the premises at approximate 10.30pm on the night of the fire and group of men were spotted emptying the house of contents.

“We would appeal to anyone who has any information about the acitivity at the address, or has any information about the people who lived there to contact police.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1103 of 4/4/2017.
