Runcorn Police release CCTV image of man they would like to speak to following a robbery Date published: 9th January 2017 2.46pm

Police in Runcorn investigating a robbery at a car park in Lime Kiln Row, Castlefields have released a CCTV image of a man they would like speak to as part of their enquiries.

On Saturday 7 January 2016 at 4.12pm a 27-year-old man and a 51-year-old man were subjected to a knife point robbery. 

They had just pulled their car onto the first car park when they were approached by a man who pulled a large survival style knife from his waist band and demanded money.  The robber made off with stolen cash and a mobile phone.

The offender is described as white and of a large build. He was wearing a beige woollen hat with a dark edge around the bottom, a dark three-quarter length coat and grey tracksuit bottoms with white trainers.  He spoke with a soft Merseyside accent. 

DC David Wood said: “We are very keen to speak with the man pictured so that we can progress with our enquiries.

“Anyone who recognises the man or has any information, please contact police.”
