Warrington man charged with assault with intent to commit a robbery Date published: 11th July 2019 4.22pm

 

A 20-year-old man from Warrington has been charged following an assault and an attempted robbery incident in the town.

Dane Bradley, of Kingsway South, Latchford, was arrested shortly before 12 midnight on Tuesday 11 July after officers stopped a vehicle travelling on Lythgoes Lane in Warrington.

He was subsequently charged with obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty, as well as assault with intent to commit a robbery relating to an incident on Saturday 8 December.

A 20-year-old man from Warrington sustained facial injuries as a result of the incident outside the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in Kingsway South, Latchford, which occurred at around 11.45pm.

He was taken to hospital via an ambulance and was discharged after receiving treatment.

Bradley appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 11 July, in answer to the charges.

He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 8 August.
