Detectives have charged 18 people with drug offences following an operation by Cheshire Police to target organised crime groups in Warrington.
The 17 men and one women are all facing charges relating to the supply of Class A and B drugs. All 18 have been remanded in custody after appearing at North Cheshire Magistrates Court on Thursday, 11 January. One man remains in police custody at the current time
The charges relate to arrests made on Wednesday, 10 January as part of a number of early morning raids in Warrington as well as one in Winsford, one in Merseyside and one in North Wales, with more than 200 officers executing warrants.
Following the execution of the warrants local police community support officers have carried out high-visibility patrols to offer reassurance to local residents.
