27 people charged following Warrington drugs raids Date published: 6th October 2016 7.28am

A number of people have been charged in connection with a high-profile operation in Warrington.

The 24 men, two women and one juveniles are facing charges relating to drugs offences. They have all been remanded in custody and are due to appear before Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 6th October at 10am.

They were all arrested on Wednesday 5th October as part of a series of dawn raids targeting organised crime and illegal drugs.

More than 300 officers were involved in Operation Impact. Warrants and searches were carried out at a total of 32 properties – the majority were in Warrington in the town centre, Poplars and Orford areas of the town along with 9 addresses in Liverpool and 3 in St Helens

Following the execution of the warrants local neighbourhood officers have been carrying out high-visibility patrols to offer reassurance to local residents.
