Altercation in Winsford Date published: 11th November 2016 10.40am

A 27-year-old man has been arrested following an incident on High Street, Winsford.

At approximately 9.11 today, Friday 11 November, officers were called to reports of an altercation at the Jobcentre in Winsford.

During the altercation a member of security staff suffered a small puncture wound to his arm. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening and the victim, a 25-year-old man, has been taken to Leighton Hospital.

A 27-year-old man, of no fixed abode, Winsford, has been arrested in relation to the incident, he is currently being held in police custody.
As a result of the incident there is currently an increased police presence in the local area.
