Chester Police reassure residents after suspicious car reports Date published: 24th September 2015 12.53pm

Two reports that the occupants of a silver vehicle were seen acting suspiciously in the Saughall and Blacon area of Chester were received by the police this week. 

At 8.30pm on Sunday 20th September 2015 an incident occurred involving a silver vehicle driving slowly past youngsters on Church Road Saughall. On the evening of Monday 21st September 2015 a similar described vehicle was seen to drive slowly past a group of young people near to The Parade shops in Blacon. Both incidents were reported to the police on Monday 21st September 2015.

The youngsters were not spoken to or approached by the occupants of the vehicle on either occasion and no offences were committed but the behavior of the occupants concerned those youngsters present.

Police patrols made an extensive search of the areas involved however the vehicle was not located. 

Inspector Brian Green of Chester LPU said “We take incidents of this type very seriously, we are investigating the reports and residents may see an increase of police patrols in the area for visibility and reassurance purposes. We would ask that anyone who witnesses suspicious activity should contact Police on 101.”
