Emergency services currently dealing with a fire on Macon Way, Crewe Date published: 28th September 2017 5.36pm

Police were called at 4.37pm today (Thursday, 28 September) to reports of a building on fire on Macon Way in Crewe.

Emergency services are currently at the scene and evacuations have taken place at nearby premises as a precaution. The Grand Junction Retail Park is currently closed.

Local residents are being advised to stay indoors and keep all windows and doors closed. At this stage there have been no reports of any injuries.

There is currently a road closure in place at Hungerford Road and the entire length of Macon Way as well as the junction of Macon Way and Manchester Bridge.

The town centre is currently congested and we are working hard to address the traffic congestion. Please avoid the area for the time being.
