Cheshire Police has been conducting an investigation in relation to a report of a sexual assault that had allegedly been committed in the area of Mill Island, Nantwich. The investigation involved an appeal asking for people in the area to come forward.
Cheshire Police is no longer seeking any further information in relation to this incident. Their investigation has now concluded and officers are satisfied that no crime has been committed.
Chief Inspector Gareth Lee said,
“Cheshire Police take all allegations of sexual offences extremely seriously. We have thoroughly investigated this report and I would reassure the local community that I am satisfied that there is no risk to the public. I would like to acknowledge and thank the public for their support and assistance in relation to the appeal for information."
