Man charged with assaulting Lymm pensioner Date published: 28th July 2016 8.43am

Police have charged a 47-year-old man following an investigation into an assault on a pensioner in Lymm.

At 7.38pm on Tuesday 26 July 2016, police received a report of a 70-year-old man being victim of a road rage incident in Lymm.

Following an altercation with another motorist in Altrincham the victim was followed to his home address in the Broomedge area of Lymm.

He was then assaulted outside his home. He was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital to be treated for serious facial injuries.

Following an investigation a 47-year-old man was arrested and later charged with assault. He will appear at South Cheshire Magistrates on 30 August 2016.
