Man taken to hospital after microlight plane comes down near Warrington Date published: 23rd July 2015 3.31pm

At approximately 6.45pm on Thursday 23rd July Cheshire Police were called to reports of that a microlight plane had come down in Burtonwood, Warrington.

Officers attended the scene and found that a one seater microlight plane had come down in a field close to Hall Lane Farm, Burtonwood, Warrington.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Air Ambulance attended the scene and the pilot, a 36-year-old man, was taken to Aintree Hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The incident has been reported to the Civil Aviation Authority.
