Nine people charged following Widnes police investigation Date published: 1st October 2015 1.05pm

Following a six month investigation by police into the supply of illegal drugs in and around the Ditton area of Widnes eight men and one woman have appeared in court on a number of drugs offences.

The charges include conspiracy to supply Heroin, Crack Cocaine, Cannabis and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The police investigation was launched due to the number of complaints and incidents reported to the police by the Community involving Anti-Social Behavior, violence and threats of violence.

Scott Smith, 26, of Brookdale Widnes, Victoria Galloway, 31, of Birtly Court Widnes, Keiron Blair, 23, of Downside Widnes,  Paul Remedios, 30, of Deansway Widnes,  Jordan Ferns, 21, of Peelhouse Lane Widnes,  Michael Loughran, 26, of Bournemouth Close, Runcorn, Tyrone Grimes, 19, of Smyth Road Widnes,  Andrew Hughes, 47,  of Bechers Widnes and Steven McCarton, 24, of Irwell Lane Runcorn, appeared at North Cheshire Magistrates today (1 October).

They are next due to appear at Chester Crown Court on 12 October.
