Officers in Chester investigating stolen horse tack have charged a man with burglary and theft offences.

Edward Caulfield, aged 36, of Wharf Road in Adbaston in Stafford has been charged with eight burglary offences and two thefts from a vehicle.

The charges relate to burglary offences which took place this year between 20 January and 9 June in Warrington, Worcester, Bulkeley, Malpas, Tushingham, Rowton and Acton. The two thefts from vehicles offences took place between 15 April and 9 June in Bulkeley and Nantwich where three saddles were taken.

Caulfield has been released on bail and is due to appear at West Cheshire Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 16 August.
