Ten charged in relation to the long term abuse of vulnerable people in Chester Date published: 14th August 2015 2.31pm

On Wednesday 12th August 2015 over 50 officers from Cheshire Police executed warrants at addresses in Blacon, Leigh, Birkenhead and Styal in relation to the long term abuse of vulnerable people in Chester.

The warrants were executed following an investigation by officers from Cheshire Police, with the assistance and support of partnership agencies within the Chester area.

A total of four men and six women were arrested for a variety of offences including harassment and conspiracy to steal.

Following questioning Samantha Daniel, 30, Hayley Jones, 37, Andrew Graham, 31, Mandy Gray, 50, Rachel Jones, 39, Crystal Rowson, 29, Clare Thompson, 42, Kevin Thompson , 51, Matthew Williams, 42,  and Darren Daniels, 45, who are all from the Chester area, were between them charged with a total of 48 offences.

They are all appeared at Chester Magistrates Court today, Thursday 13th August 2015, where they were all remanded in custody. They are all due to appear at Chester Crown Court on 25th August.
