Three charged in Warrington modern slavery investigation Date published: 9th June 2017 2.35pm

Detectives from Warrington have charged three people following an investigation into modern slavery.

At 10.28pm on 6 June 2017 police were called to Winwick Road in Warrington following concerns for the welfare of a 20-year-old woman.

Police attended and following enquiries into the circumstances arrested two men aged 39 and 46, and a 40-year-old woman on suspicion of human trafficking.

They were later charged with offences under the Modern Slavery Act and under the Sexual Offences Act.

The two men Augustin Marin, 46, Cobden Street, Warrington and Ionut Constantina , 39, from Hardy Street, Warrington and one woman,  Mihaela Constantina, 40, from Hardy Street, Warrington appeared at North Cheshire Magistrates Court on 8 June.
