Three men have been charged following an incident at HMP Risley Date published: 16th June 2017 10.19am

On Wednesday 14 June shortly before 11.20pm police received reports of a drone hovering over HMP Risley.

Local officers swiftly attended the scene and conducted a thorough search of the area. Four men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Vincent Clark, 41, of Wilburn Street, Liverpool, Sean Gould, 31, of Globe Street, Liverpool and a 17-year-old boy from Kirkby have subsequently been charged with attempting to smuggle Class B drugs (Cannabis) and mobile phones into HMP Risley.

Clark has also been charged with driving without a valid license or insurance.

All three are due to appear at North Cheshire Magistrates’ today, Friday 16 June.

An 18-year-old man from Kirkby has been released under investigation pending further enquires.
