Three teenagers have been charged in connection with an incident at a college in Widnes.
The 17-year-olds have been charged with a range of offences including wounding with intent, possession of a bladed article and resisting arrest. All three have been remanded in custody.
The charges relate to an incident on Wednesday 7 December at 1.45pm when police received reports of a disturbance at Riverside College in Kingsway.
Officers swiftly attended the scene to find a 17-year-old boy with serious injuries. He was taken to Aintree Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
