Widnes man charged with Arson Date published: 7th July 2017 11.01am

Officers from Widnes local Policing Unit have charged a man with Arson following a fire at a block of flats.

Gary James Phillips was arrested on Thursday 6 July in relation in relation to a fire at a second floor flat on Norland Street, Widnes.

Following questioning Phillips, of Norland Street, Widnes, was charged with two counts of Arson with intent to endanger life; he has been remanded in police custody and is set to appear at North Cheshire Magistrates on Friday 7 July.
