Detectives from Cheshire Police are appealing for information following reports of a car theft in Christleton.
Sometime between 1pm and 2pm on Friday 7 August a man was sitting in a grey Peugeot 208 on Sandrock Road when he was approached by three unknown men.
The men are alleged to have threatened the driver and ordered him to get out of the car. They then got into the vehicle and drove off.
The victim, a local man, sustained minor injuries and received hospital treatment.
Detective Constable Carl Humphreys said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage which may aid our investigation.
“I’d ask anyone with any information, no matter how small, to contact to contact the team here at Chester on 101 quoting 20000476231.”
