Detectives investigating a burglary at a convenience store are appealing for information from members of the public.
Two men, wearing balaclavas, entered the Co-operative Food on Kingsway South in Latchford armed with a sledge hammer.
The pair ripped the cash machine door and stole a number of boxes which had money inside.
They then fled the scene in a car which was left abandoned and has since been located and recovered by police.
The burglary occurred at 8.40pm on Thursday 6 January.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dash cam footage to get in touch.
Detective Constable Ian Morris, from Warrington’s proactive team, said: “While our enquiries are continuing I am appealing to anyone who has information to please contact us.
“Perhaps you were in the area at the time or you have dash cam or CCTV footage that may assist with the investigation.
“Any information you have – no matter how small could be really useful to us.”
Information can be passed anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by contacting Cheshire Constabulary’s website and quoting IML 1171975.
