Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in Warrington are appealing for information from members of the public.
Approximately four men forced their way into a house on Steers Close in Latchford.
The men, armed with knives and screwdrivers, attacked two men inside. One of the men sustained an injury to his head that required hospital treatment.
A quantity of jewellery was then stolen before the men got into a car and drove away from the address.
The men are described as wearing black coloured clothing.
The burglary took place at 7.25pm on Monday 10 January.
Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for information that could assist with their investigation.
Detective Sergeant Tom Hall, from Warrington’s proactive team, said: “The investigation is ongoing with numerous enquiries underway to help find those who are responsible.
“While we continue with house-to-house and reviewing CCTV I am also appealing to residents in the area to come forward with information.
“I would also encourage people to check their own CCTV or dash cam footage to see if it features anything that could assist with the investigation.”
