Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Crewe.
At 2.30am on Sunday 30 October a woman was driving her car along Victoria Avenue. As she got near to the junction with Queen Park Drive she spotted a bin in the road. She got out to move it and heard someone shouting to another person to assault her and take the car.
The woman got back in the car and fled to safety.
The suspect is described a wearing all black clothing and a black balaclava. He was on an orange motocross type bike.
PC Lorna Allix said:
“Obviously this caused the driver great distress, but thankfully she came to no harm. We are making enquiries in the area and would urge anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage that may help with our investigation to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has any information which could help us find those responsible.”
